Luxembourg, 16 April 2026 – 1686 Partners announced the successful final close of its Lifestyle Fund by achieving its USD 200 million milestone. The first investments have already been completed and additional opportunities are currently under review.
Since launching the fund, David Wertheimer, founder of 1686 Partners, has built a strong team around him to implement his vision and deep expertise in the lifestyle & consumer sector.
The fund has raised USD 200 million from strategic international investors across several continents. These investors come from diverse backgrounds, primarily entrepreneurial families, strategic groups within their respective markets as well as institutional investors including an Asia-based sovereign fund.
The fund invests in companies that embody evolving consumer behaviours and the rise of a new generation of creator-entrepreneurs. It targets brands and platforms operating at the crossroads of lifestyle, culture and creativity: fashion (premium, designer, outdoor), retail, beauty, culture, gastronomy, as well as technology companies providing solutions to the lifestyle industry (AI, operations, inventory management).
The investment strategy focuses mainly on Europe and North America, while maintaining strong investment angles in Asia and an opportunistic approach to other markets.
Thanks to its international network of investors and partners, the team benefits from an exclusive proprietary deal flow, providing direct access to founders.
Since its launch, 1686 Partners has already invested in ten companies across these different segments.
The fund expects to continue deploying capital across five to seven complementary opportunities, currently at various stages of analysis. The pipeline notably includes companies in fashion, culture, retail and cosmetics.
Beyond its role as an investor, 1686 Partners positions itself as a strategic partner, actively supporting the development of its portfolio companies in their target markets.
This support is also reinforced by the fund’s investors, who can assist portfolio companies with distribution, sourcing or establishing local partnerships.
The objective: to create a virtuous circle between portfolio companies and investors.
The 1686 Partners platform brings together an international team with complementary investment and operational expertise.
